About
Continue developing confidence and competence in the application of EMDR-GRIEF.
This advanced consultation group is designed exclusively for clinicians who have completed EMDR-GRIEF training and are looking for ongoing support integrating the approach into their clinical work.
Each session begins with a focused review of a specific aspect of the EMDR-GRIEF approach, followed by consultation, case discussion, and opportunities to ask questions related to your grief work. The goal is to deepen understanding of the protocol, strengthen clinical decision-making, and support effective application with clients experiencing grief and loss.
Topics may include:
Grief case conceptualization using TAAPS+
Target sequencing and treatment planning using TAAPS+
Continuing bonds and adaptive connection with the deceased
Readiness, pacing, and stabilization considerations
Restrictive, contained, and standard BLS processing approaches
Cognitive interweaves in grief work
Working with different types of grief
Enrichment phase considerations
Future scene targets vs future templates
Clinical challenges, troubleshooting, and common pitfalls
Participants are encouraged to bring questions, clinical challenges, and cases for discussion. Consultation is intended to be collaborative, practical, and grounded in real-world application of the EMDR-GRIEF approach.
Important Information Regarding Consultation Hours
Because this group is open to a larger number of participants than permitted under EMDRIA consultation standards, participation in this group cannot be counted toward EMDRIA certification or consultant-in-training consultation requirements.
These meetings are intended as an affordable opportunity for ongoing learning, discussion, and support related to the EMDR-GRIEF approach.
Clinicians seeking consultation hours toward EMDR certification are encouraged to register for Krista Helman’s EMDR consultation groups, which are limited to a maximum of four participants per session and are specifically designed to meet EMDRIA consultation requirements.
Who Can Attend?
Clinicians who have successfully completed EMDR-GRIEF training.
Format
60-minute virtual consultation group facilitated by Krista Helman, RSW, EMDRIA Approved Consultant and developer of the EMDR-GRIEF protocol.
