Virginina Thurston is a Registered Psychotherapist and clincial supervisor. She offers art therapy, MBCT, and IFS,  offering individual psychotherapy specializing in sexual abuse. She is a licensed Psychotherapist and Art Therapist devoted to helping people navigate the complexities of trauma and grief. She offers a place of welcome, safety and non-judgment for both individuals and groups; for attending to wounds that are recent or current, or layered and long past. By building a therapeutic relationship rooted in compassion and trust, Virginia helps clients process and heal from their wounds while empowering them to reclaim their sense of self, find meaning in their pain, and develop tools for emotional resilience and new growth.

Having worked with people of all ages from many different cultural backgrounds, Virginia has developed a person-centred, trauma-informed and holistic approach to therapy: she combines empathic witnessing and broad life experience with Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), DBT, therapeutic creative arts, and an array of other modalities to respond to her clients’ evolving needs.

Every person is uniquely creative and wise. Virginia honours the strength and resource of her clients, supporting them to recognize their gifts, rekindle their hope, and find balance in their lives.
