Ready to gently let go and open up to what’s next? This autumn weekend offers mindful mobility, guided relaxation, reflection on the past, journalling, and simple release practices. Suitable for all bodies and life seasons; wellness-focused, not psychotherapy.

Rooms are first come, first served. 

Accommodations are with Lehlewa Lakeside Retreat in Sharbot Lake, which is the host facility. There are three buildings on the grounds; Grey Owl, Red Fox, and Blue Herron​, in addition to the yoga dome and sauna.


What to expect

• Sunrise + evening yoga (grounding, yin, meditation) 

• Guided emotional movement sessions with Butterfly Hug and active breathwork 

• Free time: nature walk, journalling, rest, swim, kayak, quiet reflection 

• Campfire gathering (optional sharing, card pull, release ritual) 

• Healthy meals included within the program schedule 


Elemental Rhythm Breathwork is a guided journey through music and breath designed to support nervous system regulation, stress relief, and emotional release. Move your body to warm up then follow structured breath patterns, and close with a guided meditation.


Weekend Itinerary

This outline reflects our planned schedule; times and activities may be adjusted throughout the weekend.

Friday (5:00 pm arrival) — welcome tea • dinner • gentle yoga • welcome circle • quiet time

Saturday (Release + Renew) — sunrise yoga • breakfast • Butterfly Hug session • lunch • free time • breathwork session • dinner • yin + meditation • campfire

Sunday (Integrate) — sunrise yoga + gratitude • breakfast • closing circle • 10:00 am departure

• Comfortable layers for movement & rest

• Outdoor layers for walks/campfire & comfy footwear

• Journal & pen

• Swimwear (optional)

• Water bottle and any personal comfort items

Meet Your Retreat Facilitators

Krista Helman
Krista Helman

Krista is a social worker, breathwork practitioner, Reiki Master, and the founder of the Trauma & Grief Institute. She specializes in trauma recovery and grief integration, helping individuals and groups find balance, connection, and renewed purpose after experiencing loss or other adversity.


In addition to her clinical practice, Krista leads restorative retreats and Elemental Rhythm breathwork events that blend mindfulness, somatic awareness, and guided reflection. A frequent education facilitator and conference speaker, she shares her expertise on trauma, grief, and healing practices across Canada. She weaves evidence-based guidance with human intuition, encouraging participants along the journey from insight into embodied transformation.



Michelle Featherstone
Michelle Featherstone

Michelle is a Transformational Coach for Women and certified Yoga Instructor, dedicated to helping women create clarity, resilience, and confidence in every stage of life. Through her work, she blends over 20 years of coaching experience with her extensive yoga teacher training to guide others into alignment—body, mind, and spirit.

Her yoga journey began as a personal practice of healing and self-discovery, evolving into advanced teacher training in Yin, restorative practices, and mindfulness-based approaches. Michelle’s classes combine breathwork, meditation, and intentional movement to create deeply grounding and transformative experiences.


As the founder of Living Aligned, Michelle supports women navigating transitions and stepping into leadership with purpose and ease. Her mission is to help women rise, expand, and live fully aligned, both on and off the mat.


At retreats, Michelle is known for her calming presence, soulful guidance, and her ability to create safe, nurturing spaces where women feel supported to explore, grow, and step into their fullest selves.

• Balance due at least 4 weeks before the retreat. 

• More than 4 weeks before: full refund of amount paid

• 1–4 weeks before: 50% refund of amount paid

• Less than 1 week before: non-refundable

(Refunds are issued in the exact amount paid.)

Parts of this event may be documented by photo or video for future promotional material. If you wish to not participate in this, you can still join! Just email hello@traumaandgrief.com to express your desire to not be in the final product before the event, AND speak to the facilitators when you arrive.


Accommodations are provided by Lehlewa Lakeside Retreat (host facility). The Trauma & Grief Institute provides the retreat programming (workshops, group activities, and healthy meals as part of the retreat experience). TGI does not sell or resell travel services; accommodations remain the responsibility of the retreat facility.
