Clinical Consultation & Supervision
Consultation is a collaborative process focused on enhancing clinical skills, case discussions, and treatment planning. The consultee retains full professional liability for their clients, and is expected to operate independently within their professional scope and ethical guidelines. Even after certification, ongoing consultation results in more competent and ethical EMDR practice. EMDR group and individual consultation time can be applied towards EMDR certification (see below).
Supervision involves oversight and legal responsibility for a supervisee's practice, and is used as part of fulfilling hours towards RP qualifying hours, or can be accessed as ongoing clinical support.
